Yes. The title of this post is super weird, I know.
Last week, my roommate, Brendan Byrne, found a book at Goodwill called The Complete Bartender. He had tried out a few recipes from the book and then I told him to make something up. He had been wishing for that fall feel for a bit longer, hoping that the snow wouldn’t come just yet. Well, he made up what’s called the “Byrney Baby” and it was so delicious I had to share it with you guys.
I hope you like it as much as we do.
This recipe is for one drink. Feel free to double if making for more than one person.
(2) shots of bourbon/whiskey (any kind will do)
(1) tablespoon honey
(1) dash of cinnamon or a cinnamon stick if you’ve got a whole one
(1/3) cup of apple cider
(1) handful of ice
(1) can of Sprite or 7up
Combine all of the ingredients except for soda pop into a shaker. Shake until combine evenly.
Pour into pint glass.
Top off with soda pop.
Isn’t it kinda cool that it looks like a beer? IT’S NOT!
I can tell you that I have had three Byrney Babies in the last three days. They’re not only delicious, but they’re a hit with everyone that tries one.
